As the sequence progresses, the skull becomes semi-translucent so the cerebellar contours can be read against the surrounding occipital bone, petrous temporal ridges, and the margins of the foramen magnum. The anterior cerebellar notch is oriented toward the brainstem, while the inferior poles descend toward the cisterna magna region. Depth cues are carried by gradual rotation and layered fade-ins rather than surface texture.
