Beginning with a neutral anatomical position, the animation traces the external morphology of the female human heart from the broad base (posterior, superior) to the pointed apex (anterior, inferior, left). As the organ rotates through anterior, left lateral, and inferior aspects, the right atrium with its auricle sits to the right of the ascending aorta, while the right ventricle forms most of the sternocostal (anterior) surface and the left ventricle rounds the left border toward the apex. The pulmonary trunk emerges anterior to the ascending aorta before bifurcating, and the superior and inferior vena cava enter the right atrium on the right posterolateral margin. Coronary arteries and cardiac veins course within the coronary (atrioventricular) sulcus and the anterior interventricular sulcus. Landmarks stay clear.
