Description
A midsagittal section through the brain, exposing the medial surface of one hemisphere. The corpus callosum arches over the lateral ventricle, the thalamus and hypothalamus sit around the third ventricle, and the brainstem descends from the midbrain through the pons to the medulla. The cerebellum fills the posterior fossa. The midsagittal view reveals structures that are hidden in other planes: the cingulate gyrus, the fornix curving beneath the corpus callosum, the pineal gland, and the pituitary stalk. The cerebral aqueduct connects the third and fourth ventricles through the midbrain. Midsagittal brain sections are used in neuroanatomy courses, MRI interpretation training, and neurosurgical planning references. Medical advisory board reviewed. Clean geometry for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
