Description
An anterior cross section of the female urinary bladder, cut to expose the internal mucosal surface, the detrusor muscle layers, and the trigone. The ureteral orifices and internal urethral orifice are visible on the trigone floor, and the rugae of the bladder mucosa fold across the non-trigonal surfaces. The section reveals the layered wall structure: mucosa, submucosa, and the three-directional smooth muscle layers of the detrusor. The bladder neck transitions to the urethra inferiorly. The cut also shows the relationship between the posterior bladder wall and the anterior vaginal wall. Anterior bladder sections are commonly used in urology and urogynecology teaching to explain conditions like interstitial cystitis, bladder neck descent, and stress urinary incontinence. Medical advisory board reviewed. Clean geometry for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
