Description
An isolated 3D model of the female mammary gland, showing the lobular and ductal architecture within the breast. Lactiferous ducts radiate from the nipple, each draining a lobe of glandular tissue. The lobes are composed of smaller lobules where milk production occurs during lactation. Cooper's ligaments run through the breast tissue, providing structural support between the skin and the deep fascia. The surrounding adipose tissue determines the breast's external shape, and the retromammary space separates the gland from the pectoralis major behind it. Mammary anatomy is relevant to breast surgery, radiology, lactation consulting, and anatomy education. The isolated model focuses on the glandular architecture without the surrounding chest wall. Medical advisory board reviewed. Ready for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
