Description

The female reproductive system as an isolated 3D model, containing the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, vagina, and supporting pelvic structures. The uterus is modeled with its fundus, body, isthmus, and cervix, and the myometrial and endometrial layers are distinguishable. The fallopian tubes extend laterally, terminating in fimbriae that drape over the ovarian surface. Both ovaries are positioned at the pelvic sidewall, suspended by the suspensory ligament of the ovary and the ovarian ligament. The broad ligament spans between the uterus and pelvic wall, creating a mesentery-like support for the tubes and ovarian vessels.
