Description
A 3D model of a hair follicle showing the complete structure from the hair shaft at the surface down to the hair bulb in the dermis. The follicle includes the inner and outer root sheaths, the dermal papilla at the base, the arrector pili muscle, and the sebaceous gland opening into the follicle. The hair follicle is a complex mini-organ that cycles through growth (anagen), regression (catagen), and rest (telogen) phases. The dermal papilla contains the signaling cells that control hair growth, making it a target for hair loss treatments. Hair follicle anatomy is studied in dermatology, trichology, and histology. Medical advisory board reviewed. Ready for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
