Description
A 3D model of an infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm, showing the aneurysmal dilation originating below the renal artery origins with a clear segment of normal-caliber aorta (the infrarenal neck) between the renal arteries and the aneurysm. Infrarenal AAAs account for approximately 85% of all abdominal aortic aneurysms and are the most amenable to both open surgical and endovascular repair. The presence of an adequate infrarenal neck is the key anatomical requirement for standard endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), where the proximal seal zone of the stent graft is deployed below the renal arteries. Screening ultrasound targets this location. Infrarenal AAA is the standard teaching model for aneurysm repair planning and endovascular device selection. Medical advisory board reviewed. Clean geometry for rendering, real-time engines, and 3D printing.
