Description
A 3D model of a juxtarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm, showing the aneurysmal dilation of the aorta with the proximal extent immediately below or involving the renal artery origins. The renal arteries are visible arising from the dilated segment, defining the juxtarenal classification. Juxtarenal AAAs present a surgical challenge because the aneurysm neck extends to the level of the renal arteries, preventing standard infrarenal aortic clamping. Repair requires suprarenal clamping or fenestrated endovascular techniques to maintain renal perfusion. This classification accounts for approximately 15% of all abdominal aortic aneurysms and carries higher perioperative renal complication rates. Juxtarenal AAA anatomy is essential teaching material for vascular surgery and interventional radiology trainees. Medical advisory board reviewed. Clean geometry for rendering, real-time engines, and 3D printing.
