Description

An animated lateral cross section of the adult male heart, focused on the right-side chambers cycling through contraction and relaxation. The sagittal cut exposes the right atrium and right ventricle, and the animation shows the tricuspid valve opening and closing in rhythm with the cardiac cycle. During diastole, the tricuspid valve opens as blood flows from the right atrium into the relaxing right ventricle. Systole then drives the right ventricular wall inward, closing the tricuspid leaflets and pushing blood through the pulmonary valve into the pulmonary trunk. The moderator band and trabeculations shift with the contracting wall, and the infundibulum narrows as it funnels blood toward the outflow tract. Seeing right-side cardiac mechanics in motion adds a dimension that static sections miss. The animation supports teaching about right heart failure, tricuspid regurgitation dynamics, and pulmonary hypertension effects on chamber function. Validated by a medical advisory board. Exports to standard animation formats for rendering and real-time applications.
