Description
An isolated 3D model of the male liver, showing its external surface with the falciform ligament, right and left anatomical lobes, and the caudate and quadrate lobes visible on the inferior surface. The porta hepatis contains the portal vein, hepatic artery proper, and common hepatic duct. Hepatic veins drain into the inferior vena cava at the superior margin. The liver's segmental anatomy follows the Couinaud classification, dividing the organ into eight functionally independent segments based on portal vein and hepatic vein distribution. Each segment has its own portal pedicle and hepatic venous drainage. Liver anatomy is the foundation of hepatobiliary surgery, hepatology, and transplant medicine. The isolated model provides a clear view for segmental anatomy study. Medical advisory board reviewed. Ready for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
