Description
An isolated 3D model of the male lungs, showing the right three-lobed lung and the left two-lobed lung with its cardiac notch. The hilum on each lung's medial surface contains the bronchi, pulmonary arteries, and pulmonary veins. Fissures separate the lobes: oblique and horizontal on the right, oblique only on the left. The right lung is broader and shorter than the left, accommodating the liver below. The left lung is narrower, with the cardiac notch and lingula accommodating the heart. The bronchial branching pattern follows a predictable segmental distribution used in thoracic surgery and bronchoscopy. Isolated lung models are used in pulmonology, thoracic surgery, and respiratory anatomy courses. Medical advisory board reviewed. Clean geometry for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
