Description
An anterior cross section of the male lung, cut to expose the internal bronchial tree and parenchymal structure. The main bronchus divides into lobar and segmental bronchi, which continue branching within the lung tissue. The pulmonary vasculature follows the bronchial tree, with arteries and veins visible alongside the airways. The section reveals the relationship between the airways and blood vessels as they travel together in bronchovascular bundles wrapped in connective tissue septa. The lung parenchyma between the airways appears spongy, filled with alveolar tissue where gas exchange occurs. Lung cross sections help teach bronchial anatomy, pulmonary vascular distribution, and the structural basis of lung function. Medical advisory board reviewed. Ready for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
