Description
A cross section of the male pancreas, cut to expose the internal architecture. The main pancreatic duct is visible running through the parenchyma, and the cut surface shows the lobular organization of exocrine acinar tissue. The islets of Langerhans are scattered throughout, though too small to distinguish individually at organ scale. The section reveals how the duct system collects secretions from the acini and channels them toward the ampulla. Side branches enter the main duct along its length, and the duct diameter increases from tail to head. Pancreatic sections support gastroenterology teaching, histology courses, and surgical anatomy education. Reviewed by a medical advisory board. Clean geometry for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
