Description
An anterior cross section of the male stomach, cut to expose the internal mucosal surface. The rugae fold pattern is visible across the fundus, body, and antrum, and the gastric pits that lead to the glandular layer below are represented. The pyloric sphincter is visible at the distal end. The section reveals the layered wall structure: mucosa with its glandular epithelium, submucosa, the three layers of the muscularis (oblique, circular, longitudinal), and the outer serosa. The gastroesophageal junction shows the transition from esophageal squamous epithelium to gastric columnar epithelium. Stomach cross sections are standard teaching models in gastroenterology and histology. The anterior cut provides the most intuitive view of the stomach's interior. Medical advisory board reviewed. Ready for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
