Description

The male urinary system as an isolated 3D model, tracing the urinary tract from the kidneys through the urethra. Both kidneys sit in their retroperitoneal position, with the renal cortex and medulla visible in the surface contour. The renal arteries and veins connect to the abdominal aorta and inferior vena cava. Urine collects in the renal pelvis and descends through the ureters to the urinary bladder. The male urethra is modeled in its full length, passing from the bladder neck through the prostate (prostatic urethra), the urogenital diaphragm (membranous urethra), and the corpus spongiosum of the penis (spongy urethra).
