Description
An anterior cross section of the uterus showing adenomyosis, a condition where endometrial glands and stroma invade the myometrium. The myometrial wall appears thickened and spongy in the affected areas, with small hemorrhagic foci within the muscle where ectopic endometrial tissue responds to hormonal cycling. Adenomyosis causes the uterus to enlarge diffusely, unlike fibroids which create focal masses. Symptoms include heavy menstrual bleeding, severe dysmenorrhea, and a boggy, tender uterus on examination. It is most common in women over 35 and often coexists with endometriosis. The model supports gynecological education, patient counseling, and pathology teaching. Reviewed by a medical advisory board. Clean geometry for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
