Description
An anterior cross section of the uterus showing a fibroid (leiomyoma) in the fundal region. The fibroid appears as a well-circumscribed, round mass within the myometrium near the top of the uterus. Its whorled internal texture distinguishes it from the surrounding smooth muscle. Fundal fibroids are among the most common uterine fibroid locations. They can grow large before causing symptoms because the fundus can accommodate expansion. When symptomatic, they may cause heavy bleeding, pelvic pressure, or interfere with fertility depending on whether they distort the uterine cavity. The model supports gynecological education and patient counseling. Reviewed by a medical advisory board. Clean geometry for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
