Description
A 3D model of the uterus showing cervical erosion (ectropion), where the columnar epithelium that normally lines the endocervical canal extends onto the ectocervix. The affected area appears redder than the surrounding squamous epithelium, creating the visual impression of erosion on speculum examination. Cervical ectropion is not true erosion but a physiological variant that is common in younger women, during pregnancy, and with oral contraceptive use. The exposed columnar epithelium is more fragile and can cause postcoital bleeding and increased vaginal discharge. The model supports gynecological education and patient communication about cervical findings. Reviewed by a medical advisory board. Ready for rendering, real-time, and 3D printing.
