Uterus Saggittal Section

Description

A sagittal section of the uterus, cut along the midline to show the organ in profile. The section reveals the uterine cavity, endometrium, myometrium, and cervical canal from the side. The anteverted and anteflexed position of the uterus is visible, along with its relationship to the bladder anteriorly and rectum posteriorly. The sagittal plane matches the orientation used in pelvic ultrasound and MRI. The vesicouterine and rectouterine pouches are visible at the peritoneal reflections between the organs.
