Rendered in an X-ray style, the animation traces the alimentary tract from the cervical esophagus descending posterior to the trachea, through the diaphragm to the stomach in the left upper quadrant. Superior and right of the stomach, the liver fills the right hypochondrium with the gallbladder tucked on its inferior surface, while the pancreas lies retroperitoneally, crossing the midline posterior to the stomach. Sequential frames carry the viewer through small intestine loops occupying the central abdomen, then into the large intestine with the cecum and ascending colon on the right, transverse colon coursing anteriorly, descending and sigmoid colon on the left, and the rectum in the posterior midline pelvis. Bony landmarks remain faintly implied. It reads like a fluoroscopic study.
