Description
Oxygenated blood enters the male heart through the four pulmonary veins and streams into the left atrium, positioned posterior to the right-sided chambers and superior to the left ventricle. As the sequence advances, flow crosses the mitral (bicuspid) valve between the anterior and posterior leaflets, then fills the thick-walled left ventricle, where trabeculae carneae, papillary muscles, and chordae tendineae are rendered with clinically familiar myocardial texture. During systole, the animation carries the bolus superiorly and anteriorly toward the left ventricular outflow tract, across the aortic valve, and into the ascending aorta. Valve timing is clear.
