As the sequence progresses, the ovary margins are highlighted against the silhouettes of the iliac wings, sacrum, and pubic rami, then related to the adjacent fallopian tubes coursing medially toward the uterine cornua. Anterior and posterior depth cues are suggested by shifting opacity of pelvic landmarks, clarifying how the adnexa sit posterolateral to the bladder and anterior to the rectum in typical anatomy.
