Description
Rendered in right lateral profile, the facial musculature is exposed beneath a semi-transparent integument, with the temporalis occupying the temporal fossa superior to the zygomatic arch and the masseter spanning from the zygomatic arch to the lateral ramus and angle of the mandible. Inferiorly, the platysma forms a thin superficial sheet over the anterolateral neck as the sternocleidomastoid runs obliquely from the mastoid process to the manubrium and medial clavicle, creating a clear boundary between the anterior and posterior cervical triangles. Fiber direction is legible. So are fascial planes.
