The highlighted field corresponds to the temporalis muscle territory as it occupies the temporal fossa and converges deep to the zygomatic arch toward its insertion on the coronoid process of the mandible, immediately superior to the masseter. Inferiorly, the contour transitions to the angle of the mandible and the maxillary region anterior to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), while the cervical profile suggests the upper cervical vertebrae deep to the nuchal and submandibular soft tissues.
