Description
Spanning the posterior trunk below the inferior angles of the scapulae, the infrascapular region is presented in anatomical position with bilateral blue shading marking the anchoring zones of the latissimus dorsi. Medially, the shaded fields approach the thoracic and lumbar spinous processes across the thoracolumbar fascia; laterally, they sweep over the posterolateral ribs toward the posterior axillary folds where latissimus dorsi blends with teres major. Superiorly, the markings sit inferior to the interscapular area dominated by trapezius and rhomboids, while inferiorly they taper toward the iliac crests and upper gluteal region. Clear landmarks.
