Description
Scapular spine and its deltoid tubercle dominate this posterior shoulder blade view, with the thickened tubercle positioned along the crest of the spine as it runs laterally toward the acromion. Medial to lateral, the spine divides the posterior surface into the supraspinous fossa superiorly and the larger infraspinous fossa inferiorly, while the medial (vertebral) border and inferior angle frame the scapular body. The acromion caps the lateral end of the spine, and the lateral border trends toward the glenoid region, which remains secondary from this rear perspective. Bone surface relief is emphasized.
