Centered in the posterior fossa, the fourth ventricle is rendered as a CSF-filled cavity between the dorsal pons and rostral medulla anteriorly and the cerebellum posteriorly. The animation tracks its diamond-shaped floor (rhomboid fossa) and tent-like roof, orienting you to the median sulcus, sulcus limitans, and the paired facial colliculi on the pontine portion of the floor.
