Description
Anterior orientation frames the left upper limb and adjacent upper torso with a semi-transparent treatment that keeps the osseous landmarks legible beneath the vascular overlay. The humerus occupies the central arm, its shaft descending to the distal humeral condyles at the elbow, where the radius lies lateral (thumb side) and the ulna medial in anatomical position. Superficial and deep vessels track longitudinally from the axilla into the arm, then reorganize around the cubital fossa, where arterial and venous channels run in close parallel. Bone and blood share the same map. Palpation and access points in the anterior arm depend on this arrangement. The cubital fossa matters. The brachial artery and its bifurcation into radial and ulnar arteries form the substrate for blood pressure measurement, arterial cannulation, and interpretation of ischemic patterns after supracondylar humeral fractures, while the superficial veins overlying this region explain why venipuncture targets cluster at the antecubital fossa and why hematoma can obscure deeper structures.
