Description
Costal grooves along the inferior internal borders of the ribs are the featured landmarks in this anterior view of the human thoracic cage. Each groove tracks parallel to the rib’s shaft, positioned inferior to the external surface and medial to the lateral costal angle, where it becomes most pronounced on the middle ribs.
