Description
Anterior knee surface anatomy is presented on a standing Black adult female, with the patella centered in the distal anterior thigh and aligned over the femoral trochlea. Medial and lateral patellar borders frame the anterior knee, while the patellar tendon courses inferiorly toward its insertion on the tibial tuberosity, crossing the anterior aspect of the proximal tibia. Superiorly, the distal quadriceps tendon merges into the patellar base, and laterally the contour of the iliotibial tract can be inferred as it approaches Gerdy’s tubercle. Blue highlight accents draw attention to the patellofemoral and tibiofemoral regions. A clean silhouette.
