Description
Presented as a full-body female figure of Asian ethnicity, the artwork combines external surface anatomy with a transparent cranial window that reveals the brain and the craniovertebral continuation of the central nervous system. Within the head, the cerebral hemispheres sit superior to the brainstem, with the cerebellum positioned posterior and inferior, and the spinal cord descends centrally through the cervical region toward the thorax in anatomical alignment. Limb contours outline the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle regions, and the hands hint at underlying skeletal and muscular form beneath the skin surface. Proportions and landmarks read clearly. Linking external habitus to internal neuroanatomy matters when teaching localization, because you can relate visible posture, head and neck position, and limb orientation to the long axis of the brainstem and spinal cord. Surface anatomy is not decoration.
