Anterior and posterior surface anatomy of an adult female figure is organized into the standard major body regions: head and neck (caput, cervix), trunk (thorax, abdomen, pelvis, perineum), and the upper and lower limbs. Superior to the trunk, the neck forms the transition between the head and thoracic inlet, while the thorax lies superior to the abdomen, which continues inferiorly into the pelvis.
