Superiorly, superficial temporal and occipital vessels track within the scalp, while anterior facial branches run medial to the zygomatic region toward the nose and lips. In the neck, the common carotid artery ascends deep to the sternocleidomastoid toward the carotid bifurcation, paired with venous drainage consistent with the internal and external jugular pathways, and yellow nerve trunks radiate across the cheek, mandible, and anterior cervical triangles in branching patterns typical of the trigeminal sensory divisions and superficial cervical plexus. Some underlying mimetic and cervical musculature remains faintly visible. Orientation is an anterolateral head-and-neck view.
