Presented in medial profile, the forefoot and midfoot align from the calcaneus and talus posteriorly to the navicular and medial cuneiform, continuing distally into the first metatarsal and its metatarsophalangeal relationship with the proximal phalanx of the hallux. The remaining metatarsals angle laterally as a compact metatarsal parabola, their bases seated proximally against the cuneiforms and cuboid at the tarsometatarsal (Lisfranc) joints. Along the plantar aspect, a highlighted region tracks from the medial longitudinal arch toward the metatarsal heads, corresponding to the load-bearing pathway beneath the midfoot and forefoot.
