Description
Presented in anatomical position, the female lower limb is rendered as surface anatomy from hip to foot, with palpable landmarks and soft-tissue contours prioritized over deep dissection. Proximally, the anterior superior iliac spine and inguinal crease frame the transition to the anterior thigh, while the greater trochanter sits lateral to the femoral shaft and the femoral triangle lies inferomedial to it. Distally, the patella and patellar tendon align with the tibial tuberosity on the anterior leg, the fibular head remains lateral and proximal, and the medial and lateral malleoli bracket the ankle, leading onto the dorsum and plantar margins of the foot.
