Presented in an anterior (palmar) view on an adult Black male model in anatomical position, the wrist region is defined by the transverse flexion creases where the distal forearm transitions into the proximal palm. Medially, the ulnar side can be inferred by the contour toward the pisiform and hypothenar border, while laterally the radial side leads toward the thenar eminence at the base of the thumb. Across the volar wrist, the superficial tendinous landmarks align in the expected order: palmaris longus centrally when present, flexor carpi radialis just lateral to it, and flexor carpi ulnaris nearer the ulnar margin, all lying superficial to the flexor retinaculum spanning the carpal bones.
