Description
Within the male kidney, a dense malignant mass occupies the renal parenchyma, expanding from cortex into the deeper medulla as the sequence progresses. Surrounding landmarks include the renal capsule externally, renal pyramids and columns internally, and the collecting system (minor and major calyces converging on the renal pelvis) positioned centrally and slightly medial before continuing as the proximal ureter. The renal hilum remains the key medial gateway, where the renal artery enters posterior to the renal vein and the ureter exits inferiorly, providing orientation as the animation tracks the tumor’s relationship to vascular and urinary outflow. Renal cell carcinoma often arises from tubular epithelium in the cortex, and its tendency to distort normal corticomedullary architecture, compress calyces, and extend toward the renal sinus makes spatial depiction more than academic.
