Beginning at the distal extremities, the animation traces superficial and deep lymphatic vessels as they course proximally toward regional lymph node groups, rendered in an X-ray style consistent with contrast-enhanced lymphangiography. Along the head and neck, cervical chains (submental, submandibular, deep cervical) appear medial to the sternocleidomastoid region, while in the upper limb the collectors converge on the cubital nodes and then into the axillary nodes inferior to the shoulder girdle. Inferiorly, pedal and tibial pathways drain toward popliteal nodes posterior to the knee before continuing to the superficial and deep inguinal nodes, with pelvic channels ascending to the external and common iliac nodes and then to para-aortic (lumbar) nodes adjacent to the vertebral column. Flow continues into the cisterna chyli and thoracic duct, rising posterior to the esophagus to the left venous angle, with the right lymphatic duct suggested on the contralateral side.
