Along the distal portions of these stalks, phialides and conidiogenous scars are suggested by localized swellings and small surface irregularities, with spherical to ovoid conidia clustered adjacent to the tips and along lateral branches. Hyphae overlap in multiple planes, creating a layered field where the spore-bearing elements sit superficial to the supporting filaments against the tinted background. Colorization separates tube-like hyphal walls from the more granular conidial surfaces. For teaching and clinical microbiology, this organism-level view helps anchor the terminology of hyphomycete reproduction in real morphology: conidiophore architecture, phialidic conidiogenesis, and the spatial pattern of conidia relative to the parent hypha.
