Description
Anterior to the lateral skull, the male auricular lobule (lobulus auriculae) occupies the inferiormost portion of the auricle, continuous superiorly with the helix and antihelix region and blending posteriorly toward the postauricular surface. Medially, the lobule lies adjacent to the external acoustic meatus and the conchal bowl, while laterally it forms the soft, pendulous contour of the earlobe in profile. From the front, you would also expect partial anterior visibility of the tragus and antitragus framing the intertragic notch, with the lobule positioned inferior to that notch and lateral to the parotid region.
