Description
Seen in lateral profile, the adult male dorsum nasi forms a continuous contour from the nasion at the root to the apex nasi, with the bridge (nasal bones superiorly and upper lateral cartilages inferiorly) creating the characteristic ridge. Superiorly, the dorsum blends into the glabella and frontal region, while inferiorly it transitions into the tip supported by the lower lateral (alar) cartilages. The columella lies anteroinferior to the tip as a soft tissue strut between the nares, and the alar rim defines the lateral boundary of the nostril aperture.
