Description
Posterior body habitus of an adult African male is presented as an integument-focused surface study, with skin texture and pigment rendered across the scalp, neck, shoulders, back, gluteal region, and proximal thighs. Superficially, the epidermis and dermis form a continuous sheath over the trapezius, deltoid, and latissimus dorsi contours, while the hypodermis (subcutis) is implied by the soft tissue transitions along the lumbar region and flanks. The midline over the spinous processes provides a clear posterior reference, with lateral skin draping over the scapular fossae and the posterior axillary folds. Dark shorts mark the inferior boundary of the visible integument. Posterior skin is a common site for acne vulgaris, folliculitis, and friction-related dermatitis in athletes, and this viewpoint helps correlate lesion distribution with pilosebaceous density over the upper back and shoulders.
