Medial aspect of the spleen is presented in profile, focusing on the visceral surface where the renal impression forms a deep concavity. The renal impression lies posteromedially and is positioned inferior to the gastric impression, with the splenic hilum expected just anterior to it for passage of the splenic artery and vein. Along the superior border, subtle notches may be visible near the anterior end, while the diaphragmatic surface curves laterally away from the viewer. Orientation is clear.
