Their anterior margins bevel into the frontal bone along the coronal suture, while the parietal eminences sit lateral to the midline and superior to the temporal lines. Through the translucency, the frontal bone and orbits remain anterior, with the nasal bones and maxillae inferior and medial, and the mandible forming the lower facial contour. An anterior perspective like this helps you teach how suture geometry reflects both growth and trauma patterns, because the parietal beveling at the coronal and sagittal sutures explains why fractures and surgical cuts propagate in predictable directions across the calvaria.
