The sequence tracks the head and uncinate process cradled by the second and third parts of the duodenum, then follows the neck crossing anterior to the superior mesenteric vessels into the body, with the tail approaching the splenic vessels and the superior pole of the left kidney. As the animation advances, the main pancreatic duct (duct of Wirsung) is traced from tail to head, joining the common bile duct near the hepatopancreatic ampulla, while the accessory pancreatic duct (duct of Santorini) and the major and minor duodenal papillae are introduced in context.
