Right lung anatomy is shown with superior, middle, and inferior lobes separated by the horizontal and oblique fissures, while the left lung sits more medial to the cardiac notch and divides into superior and inferior lobes along the oblique fissure. Visceral pleura closely invests the lung surface as parietal pleura lines the thoracic wall, and the animation cycles these structures through quiet breathing so the lobes glide within the pleural sacs without friction. Alveolar regions are introduced distally as the bronchial tree tapers toward the respiratory bronchioles.
