Superficial collectors track with the great and small saphenous veins in the legs and with superficial veins of the upper limb, while deeper channels accompany major arteries and veins toward the central trunks. As the sequence progresses, lymph streams proximally through valves into the cisterna chyli and thoracic duct (with a right lymphatic duct draining the right upper quadrant), ending at the venous angles where the internal jugular and subclavian veins meet.
