Description
Centered within a translucent thorax, the right and left lungs flank the mediastinum with the cardiac silhouette nested between them, the left lung contour suggesting its cardiac notch while lobar divisions remain faintly readable through the x-ray style rendering. Superiorly, the trachea descends in the midline and bifurcates at the carina into the right and left main bronchi, which then branch into lobar and segmental bronchi coursing inferiorly and laterally toward the peripheral bronchopulmonary parenchyma. Major cardiac chambers are discernible, with atria positioned superior to the ventricles, and the great vessels emerging from the cardiac base in the expected superior and anterior orientation. Spatial relationships are clear.
