Description

Arising from the medial cord of the brachial plexus, the medial pectoral nerve courses anteriorly in the axilla toward the pectoral region, crossing the superior ribs and approaching the deep surface of pectoralis minor. From an anterior perspective, its fibers are shown piercing pectoralis minor and then distributing on the deep surface of pectoralis major, in close proximity to the clavicle, manubrium, and costal cartilages. The clavicle, scapula, glenohumeral joint, and proximal humerus frame the lateral boundary of the field, while intercostal spaces and the curvature of the rib cage establish the medial and inferior landmarks.
